Knowing that many national teams are planning to spend more time in the Czech Republic the next year, especially around Jičín, we want to share some trip tips for the free time between trainings and racing. And don't worry, we will leave the embargoed areas far behind.

Jičín will write history, again!

The Czech Republic is known among orienteering public and more specifically among MTBO public as a country that can do classy races. The Czech MTBO Cup is regularly attended by delegations not only from neighboring countries, and if you ask them they like the course settings as well as the Czech MTBO community. Even Jičín is no newcomer to the organization of races for the international orienteering elite. Come and see how Jičín already made history!

WMTBOC in Jičín will be remembered as top event, IOF Adviser says

As mentioned last time, final year of preparations has been kicked off during summer. Very experienced IOF Adviser Magnus Wallenborg, who advised for example very recent and decent championship in Denmark, 2019, visited Jičín and all event locations. "As an Event Adviser for the WMTBOC in Jičín in Czech Republic I feel confident that the Championship will be remembered as a top event," he wrote.

Sweden passed the baton to us

Jicin/Falun - Championships 2022 are done and dusted. We are glad that we could be there and see everything first hand. Thank you for welcoming representatives of the next event in Sweden. According to cycling etiquette, we give Kudos to the whole event and hope all the organizers had a good and well-deserved rest by now. For us this means the final year of preparations for WMTBOC 2023 just started. We did some observations and we have some ideas in mind. Here is a little sum-up and teaser for Jičín 2023.
